Our programs
Love Thy Neighbor aims to build a stronger, more compassionate community rooted in faith, service, and connection. Our goal is to be a light in the community, serving with integrity, humility, and love. Through our efforts, we hope to inspire others to take action, strengthen unity across neighborhoods, and create lasting change that reflects God’s heart for people.
Many seniors in Cameron County live in homes that have fallen into disrepair. Through the Restore - Renew - Rebuild Program, we help elderly residents live safely and with dignity again.
Our Restore, Renew & Rebuild program Helps low-income seniors repair and restore their homes so they can live safely and comfortably. Our teams provide hands-on assistance with small repairs, painting, and clean-up projects. One home, one heart at a time.

RESTORE - RENEW - REBUILD
What We Do:
-
Restore: Junk removal, yard cleanups, and outdoor maintenance.
-
Renew: Painting, porch repair, and accessibility features like ramps or railings.
-
Rebuild: Major repairs roofing, siding, HVAC, and plumbing and when needed, support for safe housing solutions.
Every project we complete is more than maintenance; it’s ministry in motion, restoring dignity and hope.
PLEASE NOTE AT THIS TIME OUR RESTORE, RENEW & REBUILD PROGRAM IS NOT ACTIVE DUE TO RESOURCE ALLOCATION.

Crafts, Prayer, and Companionship
Loneliness is one of the greatest challenges our seniors face.
Bringing joy and fellowship to seniors in adult day cares, nursing homes, and hospice centers through arts, crafts, music, prayer, and meaningful conversation.
Our volunteers host group gatherings that nurture creativity, build friendships, and remind our elders they are seen, loved, and never forgotten.
Hearts & Hands Fellowship brings volunteers and seniors together each month for crafts, conversation, worship, and community.
Together we hope to:
-
Provide consistent social and emotional support.
-
Spark joy through creative projects and fellowship.
-
Build bridges between generations through shared time and faith.

HEARTS & HANDS FELLOWSHIP

ADOPT-A-NEIGHBOR
Our Adopt-A-Neighbor program connects caring volunteers with senior neighbors for weekly fellowship, encouragement, and friendship.
Each volunteer “adopts” a neighbor to share life with, through letters, calls, coffee meetups (with other LTN Volunteers) and care packages . The goal is to build trust, hope, and companionship with seniors who may feel isolated or forgotten.
How It Works:
-
Volunteers are matched with a senior.
-
They commit to monthly contact and encouragement.
-
LTN provides guidance, prayer, and follow-up support.
